Wiernik, Peter

(1865-1936)
   American Yiddish writer, of Lithuanian origin. He went to the US in 1885. He served as editor of the Yiddish daily Morgen-Journal from its foundation in 1901, and also of the weekly Der Amerikaner. His writings include History of the Jews of America.
